I am honored to be the principal at Pablo Roybal Elementary School.  I have worked here at PRES for seven years!  I have been the principal here for six.  I am originally from Alpine, Arizona.  I went to NMSU and obtained my teaching degree in special education and elementary education.  I have taught in Las Cruces, Reserve, Silver City, and Mesa Vista schools.  I got my Master’s Degree from NMHU in Educational Leadership.  I have been a school administrator for 12 years.  I received my Educational Diagnostician’s License from UNM, and have done that work for 3 years.

I have been married for 21 years to David Griego.  Together, we have three beautiful children; Jacob 17, Leo 15 and Kelli 13.  They all attend Pojoaque Valley School District.

I love my job and look forward to coming to work every day!  I work with the best people, and the students here are the amazing!  There is truly no other place I’d rather be!

Mrs. Lynda Lujan-Trujillo, Assistant Principal

Email: llt@pvs.k12.nm.us

My name is Lynda Lujan-Trujillo.  I attended school in Pojoaque beginning with Kindergarten and I am a proud graduate of Pojoaque High School. I am married to Peter and have two sons, JuanCarlos and Diego. I have been a teacher at Pablo Roybal Elementary School for 17 years.   I am excited to embark on a new path of my educational career as Assistant Principal. I hold so much hope for the future of the Pojoaque Valley, just seeing what and how the children are learning. I feel it is important to embrace who you are, my favorite quote is by Dr. Seuss, “Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.”

The Fun eReader platform with 150 STEM-themed, multilingual, interactive eBooks is complements of the Governor’s Reading Initiative for all NM elementary schools and is meant for all elementary students and their families. These “smart ebooks” can read aloud in both English and Spanish with word highlighting and audio speed control. A few other features we’ve recently added include: (1) three titles have Chinese as a 3rd language; (2) users can tap animals to hear their sounds; and (3) individual words read aloud when tapped.
