NMMSSA Testing for PVMS

April 23, 2025

Dear Eighth Grade Parents,

Due to this week’s internet outage, we cannot administer the state-mandated NM-MSSA testing on our campus. Meeting this testing requirement by the established deadline is essential, and we are fully committed to ensuring compliance.

IF we still do not have internet in the morning, we have developed an alternate testing plan. Tomorrow, April 24, we will begin testing with our eighth-grade students. They will be transported to the high school at 8:30 a.m., where we will use their computer labs and library to conduct the assessments.

We want all families to be aware of our plan and how we work to ensure minimal disruption for our students. Breakfast will be provided to all eighth-grade students before departure. They will then be transported to the high school under the supervision of seven teachers and school administrators. We expect to arrive at the high school by approximately 8:45 a.m., with testing from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Students will return to the middle school in time for lunch.

Testing will be conducted during the morning hours only. This plan will be implemented on Thursday and Friday of this week, with additional days scheduled next week as needed to complete any makeup testing.

We appreciate your flexibility, support, and partnership as we work to meet this important academic obligation for our students. In case of emergency, you can reach your child at (505)365-3232.
