(JPL's Solar System or
LANL's).
- Literature:
- Carnegie-Mellon University maintains a set of hypertext documents and links to
literature on the Internet,
including a page of links to Poems.
There are also the Complete Works of Shakespeare,
the Gutenberg Project (lots of online texts), and
a very rich guide to Children's Literature.
- Libraries:
- The Santa Fe Public Library is now online!
You can connect to the LANL library or to the
UNM/NMT on-line catalog in New Mexico, or choose from a
listing of libraries around the world.
The University of Michigan is developing the Internet Public Library,
and if you don't find it there, you can visit the Library of Congress.
- Current Events & News:
- There are more and more newspapers online, including
the Santa Fe New Mexican and Royal City News,
and the Albuquerque Journal.
You can read NASA's Headline News, or check out the
current issue of the internet newspaper from Wyoming. The
Economist presents a no-nonsense point of view, and if you don't really
want the news, you can visit USA Today.

There are Geographical and
Subject listings of Web servers.
You can also get Government Information, and lots of other stuff,
from the Library of Congress or from various government laboratories.
Lots of Federal Resources are now on the WWWeb.
Serious internet searchers should investigate the various
web searching tools now coming online,
or perhaps use Veronica to do some gopherspace searching.
