Yearbook 6-8 Grade – Ms. Jennifer B. Lopez; this program will meet on Wednesdays after school from 3-4:30 PM. Approximately 15 students will be accepted into the program.

8th Grade Summer School

Pojoaque Valley Middle School will be offering summer session for the school year 2014-2015. The session will begin June 10th to June 28th. It will be divided into two sessions. Session 1 will be for students who failed 1st semester ( June 10- 18) and session 2 will be for students who failed second semester ( June 19 – 28). Summer school will be held at PVHS. Mrs. Kathy McClendon is the site administrator and can be contacted at 505-455-2234.

Times will be from 8:00am-3:pm. Lunch will be from 11:30 to Noon. PVHS is a closed campus, students will need to remain on campus during that time.

***State statute requires 8th graders who fail two or more core classes must go to summer school or be retained in 8th grade.


Registration will take place at the PVMS counseling office, June 3-7, from 8:00am-3:00pm.


Students will be in class with a teacher who will provide classroom work centered on the NM state standards and the curriculum from each semester. Teachers will also supplement students learning with the A+ computer program.


There is NO cost for 8th grade summer school.

Attendance Regulations

Attendance is critical in summer school. Students will be dismissed from the program if they miss more than two days. Two tardies equal one absence. NO EXCEPTIONS.


No buses will run. Students/parents/guardians must find their own transportation.

Food Service

Breakfast and Lunch will be served. The cafeteria runs a free summer program from June 3-August 10. Breakfast is available from 7:30am-8:00am.
