Dear PRES family,
With the winter season approaching, I’d like to take some time to invite you to come visit PRES. Our staff is always welcoming and appreciates community involvement in our school. We recently completed a Results Driven Accountability (RDA) review, and I’d like to thank those community members who took the time to come to the school for the interview. Your participation makes our school better! For the Holiday Season, please keep in mind that we have many needy students. If you have any gently used coats or jackets, warm socks, shoes, or any other outdoor clothing, please bring it to the school. We will insure it goes to a needy child. We also collect nonperishable food for families to enjoy during the Thanksgiving and long holiday break coming up in December.
We continue to have Wednesday spirit shirts for sale in the office. Students can wear the PRES shirt or any green shirt on Wednesdays to show their school pride!
Lastly, we’d like to thank all community members who have helped get this school year going and running smoothly!

Before & After School Program
The Pojoaque Valley Schools Before & After School Care Program provides a safe and enriching daycare environment and quality program for elementary and intermediate students (grades K-6). Participants experience a variety of activities that support physical and emotional wellbeing as well as academic achievement. Children in the B & A Program also receive healthy snacks and meals according to guidelines established by the New Mexico Adult and Children Nutrition Program.
Before & After School caregivers are employed by Pojoaque Valley Schools as classroom teachers or Instructional Assistants who work for the program on a part time basis. They are extremely well qualified and dedicated to the program. Additionally, the B & A Program hires outstanding Pojoaque High School students as mentors. All staff has undergone fingerprinting and a complete background check with the NM Children Youth & Family Division.
Hours of Operation:
School Days: The B & A Program opens at 6:45 a.m. The students are housed in the Multi-Purpose Room at Pablo Roybal Elementary School. The students are dismissed to their classrooms before school begins at 8:35 a.m. Students report to the Multi-Purpose Room after school. Students must be picked up by 6:00 p.m. A late fee is assessed for students picked up after 6:00 p.m.
Non-School Days: The B & A Program is open on some non-school days. The B & A Program is closed on all major holidays. A schedule is available at the main office at PRES.
